Another daily design challenge, another poster. This is a gig poster done in a grunge/retro style. Sorry about the recurring dog theme but it’s the one thing that continues to pop into my mind when I start out on these challenges with no real direction.

For those of you out there that are counting, you may have noticed that I missed yesterday. Here’s the excuse: I’m going to count Doggie Do day 9) as day 9 and 10 since I spent a good portion of the weekend working on the new look for the site. Cop-out? Maybe but as far as I see it, it should count.
On to day 11. Keeping in step with the whole “new look” theme, my day 11 design for the daily design challenge is my new twitter background. For my day 9 design I offer up Good Dog Creative’s new look. This was a result of simply getting a little carried away. I started off with just wanting to fix some cosmetic issues and a few functionality issues that had been bugging me with the old design. I started working on those simple tasks and then I thought, “Hey, how about a new logo while I’m at it!”, which led to new colors, new layout, new plugins until eventually I had an altogether new design for the whole blog. continue reading…
